Dr. John Galanis is the first eye surgeon in Missouri to implant the newly FDA approved Multifocal Toric Lens Implant. The lens implant is currently being introduced in the United States on a rolling basis.
Dr. John Galanis was contacted when the new lens implant first became available. “This lens implant combines two technologies that correct for presbyopia and corneal astigmatism simultaneously,” said Dr. Galanis, Medical Director, Galanis Cataract and Laser Eye Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
“The introduction of this advanced technology lens implant gives me an additional treatment option to help reduce dependence on glasses. Correcting presbyopia and astigmatism with one lens at the time of surgery is a great benefit to patients, offering the best vision possible following cataract surgery.”
